About The Game
Game Brief
Little Rock Shop is a cozy clicker game where you gather rocks from various locations in the world map. Break open the shipping crate and polish those rocks into pristine specimens with satisfying clicks; then sell them in a playful Plinko-style shop. Curate stunning collections for the local museum and improve your lapidary skills!
Gameplay
You'll be able to explore rockhounding regions based on locations and mineral finds that our family has found in real life! The game was inspired by a love of rocks and rockhounding, and we've tried to capture what makes that hobby so great. The game features "Boss Rocks" as well, which are rare, have lots of health, but most imporantly are quite elusive! They'll do their best to escape your workshop area.
Accessibility
We're trying to make this game as accessible as possible. For launch we're committed to mouse and keyboard, but next on our roadmap we're going to add controller support. Though accessibility doesn't just mean input devices, we're also trying to make a game that is able to be enjoyed by friends and family whether they're young or old! We've gone so far as having our toddler test the game, and with some assistance on where to click, she was able to play the game and have a blast. And I did not have to worry as a parent about whether the game was too violent or had scary chunks that could be upsetting.
Early Access
We're launching into early access because there are more rocks, more locations, and more features that we want to add with input from the community. We feel this hobby and interest is underrepresented in gaming, with most games focusing simply on the act of mining instead of appreciating the beauty that the geological wonders of our world have on display any given day of the year!
About the Studio
Pacific Ember Studios is a small indie game studio founded by a husband and wife team. We have a passion for creating games that are cozy, relaxing, and enjoyable for players of all ages. Our goal is to create games that bring joy and a sense of wonder to our players, and we believe that Little Rock Shop is a perfect example of that vision! We've tried to make sure we capture some of the beauty of where we live, and show it off with art created by hand and based on real-world experience!
We can't wait to share our love of rocks and rockhounding with everyone through Little Rock Shop!
And if we're lucky, maybe we'll even see some of our players out on the trails when we are rockhounding as well!
