Little Rock Shop - Dev Update (July 2026)
This month we’ve successfully launched Little Rock Shop into Steam Early Access! It’s so exciting for us to make the game available to players, and we’re so excited to see what people think and how they want to see the game grow!
Hot off the press, we’re already planning out our next steps for the game! Here’s a quick look at what we’re working on next!
Lapidary Abilities!
We want to give you more ways to interact with the rocks that you collect and sell in the game! We’re working to add lapidary abilities that will help you do just that, and each ability will let you shape the stone in a different way!
Here’s a sneak peek at a few from the list:
- Tumbling
- Pull rocks towards a central point and watch them get polished together
- Slabbing
- Cut the rock into slices to reveal the beautiful interior of the stone, but these slices are fragile and can break easily!
- Faceting
- Shape the rock into a gemstone with multiple faces to make it truly mesmerizing!
Rock selling redesign!
We are working on more interactive ways to sell rocks and interact with the rock and mineral community in the game!
We’ll be adding mineral shows, contracts, and giving you a reputation as a shop to balance your rock selling and rockhounding activities.
The more you interact with the community, the greater your reputation, and the more opportunities you’ll have to sell your rocks!
Personal Collection
You should be able to keep the rocks that you like! Or at least, a reasonable amount of them haha (don’t look in my garage).
We’re adding a little personal collection area in the cottage so that you can keep some of your favorite rocks to look at whenever you’d like.
